The Polish-Jewish painter, graphic artist and stage designer Marcel Słodki studied in Munich, was one of the first Dadaists in Zurich, then worked in Berlin for Pfemfert's ‘Die Aktion’ and exhibited in Paris, Warsaw and London. In 1943, he was deported from France to Auschwitz and murdered there.
