A finely produced illustrated volume dedicated to Picasso’s ceramic works, published by Albert Skira, Geneva, in 1948. The book features a lithographic cover designed by Pablo Picasso, who also conceived the overall layout of the publication.
The volume includes 18 colour plates mounted on heavy paper, reproducing Picasso’s ceramic creations with exceptional fidelity, alongside 18 additional monochrome illustrations. The plates are presented in their original formats, reflecting the artist’s distinctive approach to form, decoration, and surface.
Text by Suzanne and Georges Ramie, documenting Picasso’s groundbreaking work in ceramics during the post-war period, produced in collaboration with the Madoura workshop in Vallauris.
Issued in its original format, the work is complete with all plates mounted as published, and retains its original lithographic cover specially designed by Picasso for this edition.
