Mezzotint in colours executed by Ilsted around 1929. The edition was commissioned by DDRF (the Danish Etchers Society) who did not publish the edition till 1936 - 3 years after Ilsteds death. Blindstamp from DDRF in the lower left corner.
It was executed after a portrait by the danish painter Jens Juel. There has been some doubt about the name of the lovely sitter, but her dress, jewellery and the fact that Jens juel had painted it signals a high status. A danish family by the name of Maaløe are sure it is one of their ancestors
