This early announcement mailer was created for Warhol's first retrospective show at the Institute of Contemporary Art held on October 8 to November 21, 1965 at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. The mailer went out folded as an invitation to a limited number of important attendees, and has become a very sought-after piece among collectors.
