This impression belongs to the limited edition of 60 impressions signed and numbered by the artist, issued separately from the standard book edition of 250 unsigned impressions.
Exceptional, vibrant colors and strong contrasts, characteristic of the early pulls of the edition. The sheet retains its full original margins on Arches, with the deckle edges preserved.
A superb example of one of the most celebrated plates from Daphnis et Chloé, illustrating the poetic intimacy and luminous palettes that define Chagall’s collaboration with Tériade.
